Biography
Henry Simmons became a regular cast member on SHARK in January 2007, after having a recurring role since his character was first introduced in the series' second episode on September 28, 2006.
Simmons’ television credits include a lead role in the series "NYPD Blue," starring roles in the mini-series "Spartacus" and the movie "Lackawanna Blues," and guest-starring roles in the series "New York Undercover," "Swift Justice" and "The Cosby Mysteries."
Among his feature film credits are "Madea's Family Reunion," "Something New," "Taxi," "Are We There Yet?," "The Insurgents," "South of Pico" and "Above the Rim."
His theater credits include Off Broadway productions of "Boys in the Basement" and "Geranos," and a Los Angeles-based production of "Sure."
Simmons earned a basketball scholarship and a degree in business from Franklin Pierce College, where he also experimented in theater. The positive feedback he received onstage later fueled his desire to pursue an acting career.
Simmons was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut and currently lives in Los Angeles. His birth date is July 1.
